Josh Dix of Charleston Trident Association of Realtors gave us an update on the Lowcountry real estate scene. To combat suburban sprawl, and all the problems that it brings,  Josh talked about the need for more urban density and multi-family dwellings – the Missing Middle –  while still maintaining the character of downtown Charleston.

10/24: Larry Wagoner, World Polio Day

On World Polio Day we heard two personal stories about how polio has impacted peoples’ lives: One from Rotarian James Dusenberry who had an aunt stricken with polio, but went on to do great things in her life as a mathematician. And one from the step dad of Rotarian Karla Combes who was was diagnosed with polio as young child and lived a life of service and leadership as an educator. Thanks to both for sharing their stories on this day when we recognize the great contribution Rotary has been to eradicating this disease worldwide.
