Rotary art show to raise funds for Water Mission

How you can help 1,000 people get safe drinking water on May 18

The historic downtown Rotary Club of Charleston continues its quest to positively impact others by raising funds for our global water crisis. To help the club’s goal of raising $10,000, world-renowned and local artist James Pratt has donated his beautiful palette knife art for a fundraiser. Robert Sprague: Savannah River National Laboratory

SEPT. 23, 2014 —  Richard M. Sprague “Rick”, the Associate Laboratory Director at the Savannah River National Laboratory, spoke to our club. Rick has held numerous leadership positions in nuclear materials management. Dr. Jairy Hunter: Charleston Southern University

SEPT. 9, 2014 — David Baggs introduced our distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Jairy C. Hunter, a native of Lancaster, South Carolina.  Dr. Hunter completed his Ph.D. in Educational Administration at Duke University.  After serving as a successful businessman in Boone, North Carolina, he became President of Charleston Southern University in 1984.  Since that time, the size of the student body has increased to 3400 students.  By 2020, Dr. Hunter strives to have 4,000 students.
