JUNE 17, 2003 - A survey of almost 60 percent of members showed overwhelming approval of the club's activities.

The survey was a part of the annual Club Assembly in which President-elect Anita Zucker recognized the club's incoming leadership and plans for 2003-2004.

Zucker, who will be installed today (June 24) to succeed President John Grinalds, will have the following leadership board:

  • Mark Smith, president elect for 2004-05, and chair of Club Service A
  • Carol Collins, secretary

  • Peter Lucash, Club Service C chair
  • Ginger Norvell, Education chair
  • David Anderson, Community Service chair
  • Ted Creech, Vocational Service chair
  • Les Manigault, International Service chair.

Zucker said the club's priorities in the coming year would be to sustain and grow the club's membership, implement successful local service programs, develop leaders and support the Rotary Foundation.

Chairs of each committee also listed priorities. In addition to continuing current programs, highlights included having more classification talks, more volunteer opportunities, two College of Rotary Knowledge sessions, partnering with Wilmot Fraser Elementary School and boosting participation in projects of folks affiliated with the club.
