Ongoing projects

There are various ways to serve the Charleston community through the Rotary Club of Charleston.  Here is a list of ongoing projects, information and contacts that members can use to reach out to find out more or get involved:

Rotary Readers, weekly:  Club members read to elementary students for about 30 minutes each week in this popular, successful club project.  Contact: Kerby Teller

Adopt a Highway, quarterly:  Club members pick up trash to keep a section of highway clean … and then get together for adult beverages after.  It’s a great way to build camaraderie.  Contact:  Brett Barry

Rotary Youth Exchange.  Our club is hosting a student from another country and is seeking a host family for spring 2018.  Contacts:  Richard Sidebottom  or Karen Clark.

Entrepreneurship Class, weekly:  Volunteers speak, as well as mentor, a class of students at James Simmons Elementary on Fridays at 9:45 a.m.   Contact:  Tim Donnellon
